To successfully redesign work we need to first truly understand our organisations.
First, we need to understand jobs. We have to ask ourselves how we are going to help people be as creative and productive as possible. If the changes we make now don’t improve productivity they won’t last.
Next, we need to look at networks. Leaders must understand what employees’ networks look like and how knowledge flows through an organisation.
Finally, we must understand people and their motivations. How do people within your organisation want to work, what will they be engaged by and why?
